Larry Williams is assistant director for the International Trade and Economic Development Division of the Washington State Department of Commerce. He leads the development, implementation, and management of international trade, tourism, and economic development strategies for the state.
Recognized as a national leader in international trade, Larry serves as the vice president of State International Development Organizations (SIDO), the national association of state trade directors. Larry's accomplishments include organizing Governor Christine Gregoire's Global Competitiveness Council. He also led the formation of the first Washington State Tourism Commission and was appointed co-chair by Gov. Gregoire.
Previously, Larry served as the Washington State Department of Community, Trade and Economic Development's (CTED) international trade director, and led the global operations of the International Trade Division at the North Carolina Department of Commerce.
