Kelly Millsaps is the chief technology officer for the U.S. Central region of Avande, where he is responsible for regional solution strategy. Kelly has over 20 years of experience helping businesses realize their objectives by developing and executing strategies that leverage technology to drive differentiation. Kelly has specialized in infrastructure and application solutions for highly distributed enterprises in the bio-medical, financial services, retail, and energy sectors of Global 2000 organizations. In addition, he has authored and co-authored several publications, ranging from technology references to business guides framing regulatory compliance considerations for enterprise operations.
As a complement to his work at Avanade, Kelly is surveying the business landscape in search of the "next big thing" and serves in varying capacities for organizations executing proof of concept efforts in the startup phase. Among these, Kelly is serving as the chief financial officer for IndieLives, which seeks to help independent artists develop and capture value through social networking and viral marketing facilitated by the Internet.
Previously, Kelly worked at Unisys, where he played a key role in the development of a dedicated Microsoft services consultancy and was the technical lead in the delivery of solution offerings for several private and public sector organizations.
Kelly started his professional career as co-founder of Binary Arts, a technology services organization. In numerous capacities, including chief executive officer, Kelly led an initiative to provide specialized radiological services through off-shore medical expertise.
A believer in the concept that rising water raises all the boats, Kelly passionately commits his time and resources to social organizations. Chief among these is PAWS (Pets Are Worth Saving) Chicago, which seeks to promote a no-kill policy in the city.
Kelly holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and studied Electrical Engineering at Purdue University.
