Roy Schoenberg serves as American Well Systems' CEO and is the inventor of the American Well™ concept. Today, Roy directs the company's product development as well as the rest of the company's Operations divisions.

Prior to founding American Well, Roy was the inventor and founder of CareKey Inc., a software vendor offering electronic health management systems. Roy led CareKey through product development, market introduction, and the adoption of its Web-based health management solutions by more than 35 million users. Roy continued to serve as senior vice president and chief Internet solutions officer at Trizetto (NASDAQ: TZIX), following its acquisition of CareKey in December 2005.

Roy is the author of numerous publications, talks, and books in the area of Medical Informatics, many of which he published during his work at the Center for Clinical Computing at Harvard's Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital. Roy holds an MD from the Hebrew University Medical School and an MPH in Healthcare Management from Harvard University.
