Chil-Young (CY) Kim is a Busan University-trained pharmacist, having spent 20 years in operational and marketing roles for Bayer, Sandoz, and Abott in Korea. CY entered private business in 2002 and founded Dolki Korea Ltd. in 2005. CY has authored over 10 patents at Dolki in support of the company's novel disinfectant maker, Salicid.
Dolki, through CY's leadership, was awarded as one of three Venture Companies of the Year by Korea Tech (Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Energy) in 2007. In December 2008 it was honored as the best new invention by the Korean intellectual property office. Clinical trials are planned and underway for numerous conditions using the Salicid technology, and a peer-reviewed article in Laryngoscope, an ENT journal, in October 2008.
CY's passion is the unique product he has invented and what it can achieve for mankind.
CY is an avid runner and is a committed family man with his wife, two daughters, and son living in Suwon-city, Kyunggi-do, 35 kilometers from Seoul, South Korea.
