Alex Fielding has extensive operations management and research and development expertise in the telecommunications, security, network products, energy, and data center space. Prior to joining Power Assure, Alex was CEO and co-founder of secure encryption products company Ripcord Networks, where his team developed a suite of encrypted solutions for secure real-time voice and video communications.

Before Ripcord, Alex co-founded, with Steve Wozniak, Wheels of Zeus, a venture-funded GPS locator company. Previously, Alex was CTO of TVDC, a colo.com data center company, and before that served as West Coast manager for Platinum Network Engineering at Exodus Communications. Alex also held engineering management positions at Apple Computer and Cisco Systems. He is a member of two National Institute of Standards and Technology working groups focused on SCAP for real-time secure communications, an active contributor to IETF, and a founding member of Singularity University at NASA Ames Research Center.

Alex is a co-author and contributor on several patent applications. He is currently serving on the board of directors at both PharmaCapture and nonprofit CAWEW and is an advisor to TED MED and WED. He is a former member of MENSA and SVASE.
