David Levanson is a senior portfolio manager, senior research analyst, and  executive managing director at Sands Capital Management in Arlington, Virginia. Since 1990, David has worked as a research analyst with the Capital Management Group, Folger Nolan Fleming Douglas Inc., in Washington, DC.; Sands Capital Management (1992–94); and State Street Research & Management and MFS Investment Management in Boston before returning to Sands Capital Management in 2002.

David holds a BS in finance from the University of Florida and an MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration, University of Virginia, and is a CFA
