About Me
As editor-in-chief of Strategic News Service, Sally Anderson manages and creates content for SNS and is the editor of the SNS Global Report. She concurrently serves as editor-in-chief for Pattern Computer Inc. and of FiReBooks, the book publishing branch of SNS, from conception to publication. She is also the managing director of FiReFilms.org, supporting excellence in documentary filmmaking from conception through distribution, to educate, inspire, improve, and transform. She is an adjunct member of Seattle’s Meaningful Movies Project and a member of the board of directors for Orca Relief Citizens’ Alliance, the longest-standing nonprofit dedicated to studying and reducing the mortality rate of the endangered population of Southern Resident orca whales in the Salish Sea.
Sally previously served as production manager for SNS and Future in Review (FiRe) global events and websites (2003-2019), from the annual FiRe conference to the annual SNS Predictions Dinner in NYC and SNS “Future in Review” Speaker Series in Park City and Salt Lake City, Utah (2013-2017). She holds an issued US co-patent for conceptualizing the interactive SNS iNews tool.
As sole proprietor of Red Pen Productions, Sally has been an award-winning book editor and writer and/or editor for clients including the Smithsonian Hirshhorn Museum (Communication Arts Award of Excellence), Peabody Essex Museum, Microsoft Press, Amazon.com, msn.com, Seattle Weekly, secondstory.com, Miami Aviary, Minneapolis Zoo, Sasquatch Books, the Seattle Arts Commission, and Bay Press, among others.
