FiRe/Rodel Foundations Intern, Thunderbird School of Global Management
Shinu Thomas is a second-year MBA candidate at the Thunderbird School of Global Management, pursuing a career in clean-technology consulting. Her most recent consulting engagements included developing an electric vehicle preparedness plan for an Arizona electric utility provider and creating an operational assessment and development plan for solar projects with Wells Fargo Bank. As a Climate Corps Fellow with the Environmental Defense Fund this past summer, Shinu also helped to identify over $2 million in savings through energy efficiency investments.
Complementing Shinu's Thunderbird MBA, her international business experience includes a recent consulting assignment advising Honeywell Aerospace on its Chinese-American joint venture management strategy. Following FiRe, Shinu will be on assignment in Ghana, developing a financial feasibility analysis and providing management structure recommendations for a local grower and exporter of the valuable moringa plant, in cooperation with Exxon Mobile Foundation. Shinu will be graduating in August 2011.
