Kian Saneii
CEO, Independa Inc.

Kian Saneii, CEO of Independa Inc., is a computer scientist and software executive, and is passionate about bringing transformational technologies to market. Kian founded Independa in 2009 to deliver technology-enabled independent living solutions to professional organizations and family caregivers supporting elderly care recipients wishing to live independently longer, more safely, and more comfortably. Independa Integrated CloudCare solutions are being recognized as best-of-breed and transformational in the marketplace.

From 2005 to 2008, Kian was general manager of Websense Wireless, responsible for launching and growing the Wireless division of Websense from the ground up, including developing new carrier-centric product lines and establishing new global distribution partners. Previously, as VP Marketing and VP Business Development at Websense Inc., Kian saw the opportunity to redefine the company's market positioning and helped lead Websense to a dominant global leadership position. In addition to his responsibility for all aspects of global marketing, Kian was responsible for strategy, M&A, global OEM sales, and business development at Websense. As the founding GM of Websense Wireless, Kian expanded the company's vision to encompass the wireless revolution and established Websense Wireless as a carrier-grade supplier of transformational technologies to the telco ecosystem worldwide.

Prior to Websense, Kian served as senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing & Business Development at IPNet Solutions, where he helped transform B2B supply-chain businesses from using EDI to using secure supply-chain collaboration and communication systems - introducing real-time information flow and eliminating huge supply-chain inefficiencies.

Before IMA, Kian served as senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing & Business Development for IMA Inc., responsible for global marketing and business development efforts. Kian transformed IMA's call-center solutions into customer interaction centers, by integrating all customer interactions and data, redefining the entire market sector in the process.

Earlier in his career, Kian served in management positions at AT&T Bell Laboratories, DIS Research, and FileNet Corp. (acquired by IBM).

Kian earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with Honors from New York University, Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, and was the recipient of the NYU President's Award. He earned his Master of Computer Science from Rutgers University.

Kian played NCAA Division 1 Soccer, was chief driving instructor for BMW Car Club of America's New York chapter, and has a black belt in tae kwan do. Recreationally, Kian enjoys tennis and bicycling. He lives in Rancho Santa Fe, California, with his wife and two sons.
