Is Cybersecurity Impossible?

A Virtual Intelligence Session
Thursday, January 21, 2020
2:30-4:30pm PT • 5:30-7:30pm ET

Last spring, Texas-based network monitoring provider SolarWinds was hacked by state-sponsored Russian actors. SolarWinds’ customer list, which includes every branch of the US military, NATO, and four-fifths of the Fortune 500, was used to infiltrate at least 18,000 government and private networks. “The data within these networks, user IDs, passwords, financial records, source code, you name it, can be presumed now to be in the hands of Russian intelligence agents,” ZDNet reported. Over the holidays, the business, intelligence, and security communities watched as more and more federal agencies were reported to have been not just penetrated, but completely compromised.

The incident raises essential questions about security, both enterprise and national, at a time when nearly every company – and country – relies on a supply chain of digital products to manage and support their operations. Is any country or company safe? How can you best protect your company and your customers? What are your options when security seems impossible?

Join Strategic News Service and IoT Security expert Jeff Hussey, President and CEO of Tempered Networks, on January 21, 2021, for FiReSide, our monthly virtual intelligence session. We’ll discuss the implications of these issues, take your personal questions, and keep you apprised of the best ways to maintain security in your enterprise.
