In March, Atlanta underwent the largest cyberattack on a US city. One-third of its software programs were thrown offline or partially disabled. Thirty percent of those were considered "mission critical," affecting core city services. The City Attorney's office lost 71 out of 77 computers and a decade of legal documents, and the police lost all dashcam footage. This year, the city has requested $9.5 million in additional IT funding in recovery costs alone. How does a city protect itself against cyber infrastructure attacks? What does this new warfare avenue mean for US security and the economy?
