About Me
Christo Grozev is an award-winning investigative journalist, head of investigations with The Insider, and the former lead Russia investigator and executive director of Bellingcat. He has led investigative teams uncovering landmark Russian intelligence operations such as the poisoning of Sergey and Yulia Skripal (for which he and his team earned the European Press Prize for Investigative Journalism and the London Press Prize) and the poisonings of Alexei Navalny and Vladimir Kara Mirza, as well as identifying the Russian intelligence officer behind the assassination of a Georgian asylum seeker in Berlin. He has also led a collaborative investigation into “Havana syndrome,” featured on 60 Minutes. His work was featured in the Academy Award–winning documentary Navalny and the new film Antidote.
Christo holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the American University in Bulgaria and has an MBA in finance and law and master’s degrees in law and economics.
