George Boyajian is the CEO of the startup Mussel Polymers, a chemistry startup ready to take unique Purdue adhesive technology to the market. Mussel Polymers’ novel underwater adhesive technology is based on a glue used naturally by marine creatures which may soon provide a safer adhesive option for industries ranging from biomedical to aerospace.

 

George is a technology executive with over 25 years’ experience specializing in commercializing breakthrough technologies. He previously launched and headed PhytoWorks, Living Independently Group, and TurnPointMedical Devices, among others. As managing director of Columbia Digital Knowledge Ventures, he helped launch Columbia University’s digital asset commercialization venture. Most recently he was chief commercial officer of Primus Green Energy. 

 

Prior to his business career, George was an assistant professor at the University of Pennsylvania. He holds a PhD from the University of Chicago and a BA from Penn.
