About Me

Kate Nolan is founder and general partner of Sourdough Ventures, a Seattle-based pre-seed fund backing applied AI deployed inside critical sectors such as energy, public safety, and civic infrastructure. 

Before launching the fund, Kate led startup growth at 1776, a Washington, DC–based regulated-sector incubator, where she built systems to support hundreds of founders, including the digital identity platform ID.me. A former operator at Amazon, Kate brings an innovator's view of how technology, regulation, and institutional trust intersect.
